Michael J. Reinking, CPA, CSMC
MIKE REINKING CPA has been involved with growing small businesses for over forty years. He has spent almost all of this time in public accounting first with an international firm then with a local firm he helped grow. His work with business spans the audit, tax and advisory areas including help with corporate financial and investment structure. He has spent a career helping small businesses deal with the daily problems of running a business.
Mike himself has helped open two offices for his firm, the latter being one in an area totally void of current clients and contacts. His idea to establish this office has lead to the employment of numerous professionals at this location. As the founding partner, Mike saw and experienced firsthand the problems in growing a business. Starting an office with no revenue was an experience Mike never forgot. It has helped him throughout his career.
Along the way, Mike led his firm in an executive capacity serving on his firm’s Executive Committee for over twenty years. Under his leadership the firm grew eight fold in people and over twenty fold in revenue. The firm today is one of the largest in the Greater Philadelphia region.
Mike’s personal life is family oriented. He has been married to his high school sweetheart for almost forty years. They have four children and currently boast six grandchildren. Three of Mike’s children are involved in a small business together which Mike assists through his advisory.
As a member of a variety of sports, service and religious organizations, the ability to give back is foremost in Mike’s life. He volunteers his time to the Pennsylvania Institute of Certified Public Accountants as a member of the speakers’ bureau. Mike serves as the business manger of Major League Baseball Clubhouse Managers Association as well as the Professional Baseball Strength and Conditioning Coaches Society.
Mike retired as an owner from his firm but continues to contribute on a limited basis. He founded Six Seven Advisory in 2007 and has grown it continuously with a variety of special project and advisory work.
One of Mike’s interests is writing and he has just completed his first book titled “Adventures in Accounting”. The lifelong need to write this book stemmed from the notion that no accountants have any fun. The book outlines the situations and experiences Mike has had in the public accounting world over the past four decades.
